Walking

From Ben More, the Isle of Mull's only Munro (966m) to the lighthouse walk from Tobermory, we can advise you, loan you the maps and provide you with an excellent packed lunch.  For information about Scotland's Open Access Code and your responsibility as a walker enjoying access to some of the most beautiful scenic landscapes in the world visit www.outdooraccess-scotland.com.  Mull Magic offers daily guided walking tours and will collect you from the hotel - for more details click here.

Cycling

On road or off road it’s a joy. We have space to store your bikes or you can hire them in the village. There are several cycle paths near to Tobermory and a leaflet can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre in the village. One of the routes goes along the shore of Loch Frisa past the sea-eagle bird hide. Alternatively take a look at the sometimes humorous website of the Isle of Mull Cycling Club who are always happy to  share the delights of the island with everyone who is interested in all forms of cycling.

Fishing

Sea, river, loch, game or coarse – you catch it we’ll cook it. There is fishing on: Loch Frisa, bank only at £3 per day; Mishnish Lochs for wild brown trout up to 4lbs, bank and boat, fly only, permits cost £10 per day and £30 per week, boats £5 for 4 hours or £12 all day; Aros Loch in the Forestry Park near Tobermory, bank only for rainbow trout. Contact the secretary, Carne, 7 West St, Tobermory, Isle of Mull, PA75 6PJ or pick up a fishing license from Brown's Ironmongers in Tobermory.

Sailing

Bring your boat to the best sailing ground in the world. (Our biased opinion) No marinas, just drop anchor in deserted bays or moor up in the best harbour in the Western Isles. Tobermory has always been a most convenient harbour for yachtsmen: a place to wait for a fair wind for Ardnamurchan, within easy reach of stores and hostelries and a very welcome haven for the southbound yacht that has just rounded that intimidating headland.

Golf

Tobermory Golf Course – don’t know about the golf but views to die for! This nine hole golf course is one of the most beautifully situated golf courses in the world, enjoying a beautiful position on a headland overlooking the Sound of Mull towards the mainland of Scotland. Although hilly the course is suitable for trolleys. For more details please contact J.Weir, (Club Secretary) Tel: 01688 302338. Green fees can be paid at Brown's Ironmongers in the village.

Night- time
If you have the energy to move after your day out and a superb meal in our restaurant, Tobermory has a lively music and arts scene or there are frequent productions by the Mull Theatre.
